Just
imagine this ... you are on a cruise ship, looking
forward to a lovely time out at sea, but before long you
start feeling giddy and nauseous, and you might even
have to throw up , many times , ruining your trip. This
is motion sickness , not all travellers will experience
it, but if it happens , it can definitely spoil your
holiday.
Motion
sickness can also occur in long car rides or in
aeroplanes , and it would definitely be good to prepare
for it.
How do I prevent
motion sickness?
When travelling in a car , look at
the scenery in the distance. If in a ship , gaze out towards the
horizon.
Avoid concentrating on nearby objects
, such as reading a book.
During a flight , or below deck on
ship, try keeping your eyes closed. Rest your head firmly against the
head rest.
If you are extremely prone to travel or motion sickness, see your doctor
before your trip and he can prescribe medicine to prevent motion
sickness . Such medicine usually needs to be taken at least hald to one
hour before the journey.
